Cliff Dwellings

Here's Joanna on the trail at Bandelier National Monument. It features a group of Anasazi Indian dwellings, some of which are in the cliff face.

The kids enjoyed climbing up into the nice comfortable homes!

Don't they look comfortable?

No screens here.

This one is especially spacious.

A bunch of us!

Some of the dwellings were located right next to the cliff. The holes are for beams that supported multiple floors and the roof.

Caleb in the largest of the dwellings. Note the "kiva" in the background. The kiva was a place for the tribe to hold special meetings and religious rites.

Just a neat picture!

Here are some of Grandfather's stitched shots.
