We were heading out for our 2 day drive to VA when we got a call from our neighbor telling us that a storm just passed through and our roof had some serious damage! Yep, that's always great to hear when your heading out of town. Our neighbor sent us this picture so we could get an idea of what we missed! They also got some tarps on the roof for us until my brother was able to patch it up temporarily. This nice hole is probably one of the reasons for some of the water damage inside. Thankfully it doesn't sound like it's too bad. We'll see when we get home.
Thanks to all who helped getting everything taken care of since we weren't able to!!
Here are a couple of pictures that friends took of the hail that came through.
This is one of the crafts we made in our MOPS group. They had tiles in 2 different sizes to decorate - coaster size and a trivet size. I decided to make everyone a coaster. I thought it would be nice for everyone to have a spot for their cup instead of getting a new one every time they needed a drink.
The kids love them.
Maybe we'll go through less cups in a day!
We even have a couple for when guests come. These don't look like any of our grandparents, but they'll have to do!
We have our first garden started and ready to go. No green thumbs here so we'll see what happens.
Caleb is ready to till.

We then moved all the dirt from the driveway out front to the backyard. Sorry no pictures it was spitting rain that day.
This weekend we planted some of the seeds and we'll plant some more in a couple weeks. Now the hard part - keeping those little seeds moist and waiting.
I found this website which was pretty neat in helping plan the garden space we've got. It lets you specify the size and then map out the vegetables you'd like and tells you how many to plant there. Pretty helpful.
