Double Digits

(Joel here.) We're so proud of Tina/Mommy. She ran more than 10 miles yesterday for the first time! She's been working up to being able to do a half marathon. We all went to a park yesterday, and the kids and I tried to follow her on our bikes while she ran, but she was so fast we couldn't keep up! (Well, actually we couldn't keep up because the kids kept wanting to stop for swigs from their big water bottles.) When we finally crossed paths with her again, the two youngest kids were wiped out, so I took them to the playground while Joanna rode alongside Mom for her final lap.
Go Runner-Mom!

Wow, Tina! I've noticed that you are getting skinny! This is inspiring. Do you get up and run before Joel leaves for work? Way to go!

Good for you. Keep it up. Do you have a particular half in mind that you want to run?

I really like running first thing in the morning, but it hasn't been happening very regularly lately. I'm using a training plan that builds up pretty slow so I only have to run 2 times during the week for 30 minutes and then a long run on the weekend. Makes it easier to get the minimum in.

I'm running the Sun Run 10K. Probably just going to do the half in the fall.

Way to go Tina! I'd be happy to walk 10 miles! :-)
