The Grumble Box
Tonight we read a story about a family who grumbled about everything. To help solve all the grumbling, the mom decided to start a grumble box. Whenever anyone grumbled they had to put a nickel in the box. While we were talking, we decided, "Hey, maybe we should have a grumble box too." After a while, Caleb said, "I wish we didn't read this story tonight because now we have a grumble box."

Love it! Maybe this house needs a "grumble box" too!
We used to have a "happy heart chart" and we would put stickers on it for responding with a happy heart. Positive reinforcement.
Though I have been telling the girls I will take a dime from them when they leave the lights on. I hate that wasted energy.
